In September 2017 we were appointed as main contractor for the redevelopment of this stud farm, which covers approx. 250acres. The existing facilities were over 50 years was completely demolished and a new master plan implemented. A large portion of the works was attributed to new infrastructure, drainage, removal of all overground ESB cabling, standby power generation, state of the art fibreoptic backbone network, water and waste water services and treatment plants, with capacity for future expansion. The building works comprised of an accommodation building, office building, machinery building, 48 new stables, ESB substation, horse walker and lunge pen, new remodelled entrance along with a full upgrade of the road network with soft landscaping and planting. The brief for this phase required the works to be fast tracked in order to bring the stud farm back into operation, at the earliest opportunity, and this phase of the project was completed within a nine month period.
